Darryl started 2007 on a 1999 Yamaha standard road R6 as a novice at the New Era race club, having not competed in road racing on motorcycles and due to lack of funds, was unable to compete in all the rounds yet mid season was placed 5th in class and at this point his Father and Managing Director of S&C Windows Ltd in Farnham decided to approach Moto-Select for the purchase of a new bike and with the help of Bob and his staff at Moto-Select arrived a new CBR600RR7.
Linkup to SportsTiming Services.
The bike was sent to Dynotech (Basingstoke) for stage 1 modifications and once on track Darryl was placed no lower than 2nd in class for the rest of the season taking him to 3rd in class and 7th Overall In the off season the bike was sent to Padgetts Honda for stage 2 it has since been to Mallory Park for pre-season testing where Darryl’s lap times have improved by a second a lap baring in mind this has been achieved during winter conditions We are therefore looking for a very successful 2008 and we all wish Darryl the best of luck.

A new exciting development at S&C Windows and to potentially seek your support.
“One of our sales staff, Darryl Cox, who is also the eldest son of our Managing Director has recently been competing very successfully in the New Era Motorcycle Club Championship.
This success has been achieved on a relatively out of date road going machine and against opposition on much newer and sophisticated equipment. To support Darryl in his racing career S& C Windows have assisted in the purchase of a new Honda CBR 600 machine from Moto Select Honda in Farnham who have been particularly generous in their initial support. The machine has already been race prepared by Dynotech of Basingstoke who we expect be our partners in the continuing maintenance and tuning of the bike. Darryl’s achievements this season includes mid table finishes in his first 2 races, 8th out of a field of 16, and then seeing significant improvement to be placed 2nd in his next 3 races.
This has resulted in Darryl being currently placed in 5th place overall in his class at the midway point of the season despite only competing in 5 of the 10 races so far. This current success is only the latest in a series of achievements that demonstrate Darryl`s enthusiasm and ability in motor sport that date back over recent years. Go Karting was Darryl’s first introduction to competition seeing him achieve 3rd position in the 1998 British Outdoor Championship. As you are probably aware all motor sport is an expensive enterprise and while S&C Windows are delighted to support a young, keen and talented man we would welcome the help and sponsorship of other companies and individuals. With this in mind we are writing to all individuals and companies we work with to see if they would be prepared to support in any way.
We do understand that in an increasingly competitive world the demands on resources are always pressing but would very grateful of support of any nature.
The new machine will carry the logo’s of all individuals and companies sponsoring and supporting Darryl, as will the transport he uses, as he races at various well known venues around the country, such as Mallory Park and Brands Hatch and we would welcome the chance to include your organisation.
In addition we planned to build this web site to keep everyone up to date with all Darryl’s and Ryan`s efforts.
Obviously this site will carry the details of all our supporters and regular updates on events. There will also be a news letter produced after every race to keep all sponsors, supporters and friends up to date with events. The first of these will be after the bike’s first outing at Pembury in South Wales on the 18th and 19th of August. I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this letter and look forward to including you in the excitement and fun we will enjoy.”
Kind Regards S&C Windows
